Cost Share 2025 and 2026

On July 2, 2026, the USDA announced that applications are being accepted for the 2025 and 2026 program years through the Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP), which covers up to 75% of eligible certification costs. The USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) will make payments as applications are received on a first-come, first-served basis until available funds are depleted.

To apply for OCCSP, contact your local FSA office. Applications are due on December 31, 2026, for both program years.

You can find up-to-date information about available cost share opportunities on the National Organic Certification Cost Share website or contact your local FSA office. OEFFA will continue to update this page as any cost share news is released.

OCCSP reimburses certification fees for both producers and handler/processors. Reimbursement is limited to 75% of certification costs, up to a maximum of $750 per certificate or category (scope) of certification, per year. Four categories of certification are eligible for reimbursement under the OCCSP: crops, wild crops, livestock, and handler.

Cost Share 2024

Cost share reimbursement is available nation-wide through your county Farm Service Agency (FSA) office. For operations located in Ohio, reimbursement is also available through MOSA Certified Organic, which is administering the program in partnership with the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

Note: you may only work with one agency for reimbursement. Cost share reimbursement may not be received from both MOSA and FSA.
